I’m Jil Hunsberger, and as I mentioned, I’m a marriage coach for women. I live in Michigan with my wonderful husband, Steve, of 23 years, and we are currently empty-nesters. Our dogs are our children now!

I’ve lived in southwest Michigan my whole life, and I have one older brother. My parents divorced when I was 12, and sadly, my dad passed away from cancer when I was 18. I had a very turbulent relationship with my mom all my life and was around 30 when I learned she had Borderline Personality Disorder. Google it if you’re interested, but in short, it made my mom a very difficult person in my life. I married my husband in 2002, and we welcomed our daughters in 2003 and 2004. When I was 38, my mom was quite unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer and passed 7 weeks later. Because of our very difficult relationship and the huge shock of her sudden passing, I struggled immensely with grief and depression following her death. It took about 2 years, but I was finally able to heal from a lifetime of hurt, come out the other side, and feel joy and happiness again, Thank goodness!
Now, I’m loving my late 40s (even after going through the pandemic and a cancer diagnosis), trying my best to stick to a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle, I enjoy watching true crime, ghosty/mystery shows, Discovery Channel, DIY shows, and all kinds of movies, love my family immensely, and love my dogs like they’re people. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, and integrity is extremely important to me. I believe helping people is what I was meant to do in life, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to do this work that I love so much.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! You can email me at hello@greatlovecoaching.com
